He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Porter and Mabel Annabelle Lanthorn Porter; his wife Mary Jo Young Porter; and his siblings, James Porter, Ralph Porter and Ernestine Henry.
He is survived by: his children, Jenny Jo Huffman (Ronnie), Patty Jane Griffith, Mary Beth Slayton (Jerry) and Jason Porter; his grandchildren, Paula J. Maynard, Lori Huffman, Paul Chafin, Mark Chafin, Josh Legg, Beth Legg, Amy Huffman, Bruce Johnson and Jenna Johnson; his nephew Wesley Shephard; his siblings, Ricky, Nikki Facemire (Gene) and Violet Jeffers; and also, Frances Johnson and Pop. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
