He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Taft Burgess and Mary Frances Turley Burgess; and his siblings, Charles Burgess, Shirley Joe Burgess, Helen Burgess DeVaughn, Ruth Williams, Beverly White and Lyle Burgess (Margaret Dillon).
He is survived by: his children, Paula Ferrell (Steve), David Burgess (Gabe), Brandon Burgess (Jessica), Adam Burgess (Kayla) and Randy White (Amanda); and his siblings, David Burgess and Dreama DeVaughn. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home and Crematory (625 OH-775, Proctorville, OH 45669). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
