Bates of Gallipolis and Deborah 'Dee' Queen (John) of Crown City; his grandmother Sally Wears of Gallipolis; his siblings, Mark Grimes of Point Pleasant, David Bates of Gallipolis, Miranda Bates of North Carolina, Jenna Plantz (Shane) of Gallipolis and Lindsey Bates of Gallipolis; and his close friend Michael Carter of Gallipolis. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
