He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Vilas and Lillian Irene Day Unroe Sr.; and his brothers, Phill, Terry and Greg Unroe.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn L. Sheets Unroe of Crown City; his daughter Angela Michelle Barnes (Derrick) of Gallipolis; his granddaughters, Samantha Paige Hughes (Todd), Kendra Nichole Barnes and Alexandra Noel Barnes; his great grandchildren, Haven Rae Hughes and Blake Avery Hughes; and his siblings, Bobby Lee Unroe (Faye) of Gallipolis, Billy Allen Unroe (Barbara) of Gallipolis, Janet Yvonne Williams of Gallipolis, Charlotte Shaffer (Richard) of Crown City, Charles Lester Unroe of Crown City, Wendall Max Unroe of Gallipolis, Irene Fern Davis (Nelson) of Crown City, Vickie Freeman (Joe) of Gallipolis, Anita Calvert (Steve) of Gallipolis, Pamela Williams (Kenny) of Gallipolis and Debbie Halley (Randy) of Crown City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
