He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Handy and Ruby Midkiff Handy; and his mother-in-law Barbara Collins. He is survived by: his wife Delcina Rae Handy; his children, Samantha Pullen (Mark), Jerry Handy (Yolanda), Michael "Boo" Handy (Joyce) and Carrie Broughton (Rich); and his sister Janice Ridenour. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
