It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Lyle Burgess of Crown City, Ohio, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Burgess and Frances Burgess. He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Burgess (Tracy) of Gallipolis, Scott Burgess of Chesapeake, Timmy Burgess (Pam) of Crown City, Jeff Burgess (Stephanie) of Huntington, WV and Tony Burgess (Crystal) of Crown City; his close friend Loretta Hammond; and his siblings, Dreama McGuire of Cairo, WV, Margaret Dillon of Crown City, Paul Burgess (Thelma) of Gallipolis and Dave Burgess of Crown City. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
