He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Ross Evans; his wife Nina Jo Lyon Evans; and his sons, Terry Evans (Valarie), Larry E. Evans, Paul Evans (Cheryl) and Dale Evans (Kim). He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV.
