He was predeceased by: his parent Floyd James; and his siblings, Delman, Donald, Hugh Buell and Muriel Fling.

He is survived by: his parent Emma Estella Buell (James); his grandchildren, Amanda Hughes (Cyle), Douglas Cade (Christie), Kristin Richley (Chris), Brittany Staugh, Kyle Staugh, Melissa Drake, Jordan Buell, Cassidy Buell, Jayden Buell, Carleigh Buell, Carlton Buell and Jacob Buell; his great grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, Keegan, Brayden, Sadie Cade, Cyle Jr., Mackenzie, Madison, James Hughes, McKenna Coleman and Madalyn Coleman; and his sister Jeannette Iris Faust of Lawrence.
