He was predeceased by: his father Earl Watson; his wife Nancy A. Watson; his stepson Gene Taylor; his siblings, Jack Watson, Earl Watson Jr., Lawrence Watson, June Crooks and Gloria Ann Dalrymple; and his great grandchild Haley Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Paul E. Watson Jr. (Tammy) of Crooksville and Aunda Patterson of New Lexington; his grandchildren, Alisha Moore (Phillip), Stevi Dennis (Nick), Paul "Buck" Watson III, Tanner Watson (Lauren), Miranda Gorby, Jessica Watts, Julie Russell, Trina Taylor, Jamie Taylor and Tony Taylor; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Moore, Meredith Watson, Tommy, Tosha, Lindsey Bolyard, Hillary Miller and Hannah Taylor; and his children-in-law, Carol Taylor and Pete Van Atta (Rosalie Jellison).
