He is survived by: his parents, Marvin Bates and Gloria Ryan (Charles); his siblings, Michael Bates, Cheryl Bates and Kimberly Bates; his half-sister Brooklynn Watts; his stepbrothers, Charles Ryan (Katelyn) and Nicholas Ryan; his aunts and uncles, James Bates, George Bates, Albert Grundy (Christina), Billy Bailey (Cathy) and Barbie Welker (Brad); and his nieces and nephews, Preston, Jayden and Isabella.
