He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Rutter and Geraldine Hiles Rutter; his daughter Amy Rutter; and his siblings, Tom, Mark, Donald, John, Andy Rutter and Loretta Goshorn.

He is survived by: his daughter Emily Binkley; his grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob and Derek; his girlfriend Lorane Perkins; and his siblings, Dian Lynch, Judy Griffith, Mike and Jeff Rutter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
