She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl H. and Clara E. Taylor Lies, Sr.; her husband Earl Thompson; her sons, John Schaub, Sr. and Gail Franklin Schaub; her son-in-law James Marsden; and her siblings, Harold 'Bud' Boedecker (Betty), Carl 'Goldie' Lies, Jr. (Cathy) and Gladys Mae Keller (Carl).
She is survived by: her children, Marietta Marsden of Cridersville and Dorance E. Thompson (Kathy) of Cridersville; her grandchildren, John Schaub, Jr. (Nancy), Jennifer Briner, Jeff Schaub (Laura), Dan Bradford (Arletta), Jessica Stevens (Mark Rahrig), Derek Thompson (Addi) and Alex Thompson; and her daughter-in-law Jean Gillespie (Bob) of Lima. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be given to John J. Schaub Scholarship Fund, thru the Spencerville V.F.W. Post 6772; Cridersville United Methodist Church; the Cridersville Lions Club; or St. Rita's Hospice.
