She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Thomas and Felix Thomas of Cairo, Ohio.. She is survived by: her husband John William "Bill" Murphy; her children, Carol Ann Dawson (Denny), Michael Murphy (Amy) and James Murphy (Kelly); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Gilroy (Matt), Katherine Murphy, Jonathan Murphy (Taylor), Sara Tobe (Adam) and Emily Delong (Jeffery).

Memorial contributions may be given to the James Cancer Center.
