He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hefner and Margaret Hefner-Jett (Binkley); his brothers, Tom Hefner, Michael Hefner (Pat) and John Jett; his stepfather Vernie Jett; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Connor, Ron Sprague (Marge) and Janice Metz (Vic).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hefner (Sprague); his children, Jeff Hefner (Lori), Dennis Hefner (Kelly), Kevin Hefner (Tammy), Michele Gahman and Amy Hefner; his grandchildren, Chris Gahman, Jason Hefner (Robin), Tricia McCutcheon (Jon), Kristen Hefner, Kyle Hefner (Alycia), Ashley Graham (Ben), Brittaney Trail (Patrick), Micah Hefner (Chelsea), Dylan Hefner, Ryan Hefner and Marissa Williams; his great grandchildren, Chase, Eliana, Marcella, Brenna, Avery, Kameron, Leo, Lincoln, Asher, Lewis, Amelia, Gideon, Emmy, Jaxson and Addison; his siblings, Ralph Hefner (Bethany), Diane Connor and Patsy McKee; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Hefner and Roxie Craig (Jett).
