He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Jr. and Stella Pittman (Ady); his daughter Judith Holmes; his grandson Nickolas Adams; and his sister Wilma McDougal.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Jean Marcum; his children, Jacqueline (Roy Adams) of Wooster, Lavonne (Curt Stauffer) of Shreve and John (Casey Pittman) of Copley; his son-in-law Monie Holmes of Wooster; his grandchildren, Aaron (Melodie Holmes), Alex Holmes, Benjamin (Stephanie Adams), Merry (Jacob Ackerman), Katelyn Adams, Jeff (Sarah Stauffer), Luke (Michala Stauffer), Kyle (Grace Stauffer), Amanda Pittman and Isaac Pittman (Allison Pittman); and his sisters, Bessie Atkinson of Wooster and Arlis Jean Archer of Orrville.
