He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan C. and Dorothy (Early) of Virginia; his wife Charlotte Scaggs (Reynolds); his son Phillip Travis Scaggs; his stepfather John Alley; his siblings, Harlan C Scaggs Jr., Tina Kim Alley and John Patrick Alley; and his son-in-law James Keller.
He is survived by: his daughters, Autumn Keller and Summer Scaggs; his grandchildren, Savannah Keller (Kelsey Morrison) and Jackson Keller; and his sisters, Sally Pyles and Karen Sue Grimmett (Arnold).
A Celebration of Life will be arranged following the relaxation of stay at home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Sickle Cell Disease Program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
