We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, at the age of 85, Joseph Kouns of Creston, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Kouns and Iona Kouns (Broom); his grandson Trevor Cox; and his siblings, Lawrence, Charles, Boyd, James R., Lewis Kouns, Belva Kiser, Wilma Workman and Pam Daniels.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee McBrayer; his children, Tammy (Greg Cox), Brian (Barb Kouns) and Brett Kouns (Tanya Estep); his grandchildren, Brittany (Bryan Erdman), Jarrod Cox (Breana Geiser), Michael Kouns, Joe Kouns, Stephanie Kouns and Jacob Kouns; his great grandchildren, Alivia, Makayla and Kamira; and his siblings-in-law, Grover Daniels and Billie Kouns.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Canaan Free Will Baptist Church (12723 Cleveland Rd, Creston, OH 44217). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
