He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Gantzler and Mary Fern Gantzler (Lewis); and his sister Marilyn Amick. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl L. Gantzler (Knapp); his sons, Brian Gantzler (Judith), Columbus, Scott Gantzler and Crestline; his foster daughters, Wanda Marker and Lesia Leach; his brother Raymond Gantzler; and his siblings-in-law, Ted Knapp and Barbara Moyer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, over 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Side Baptist Church, Bus Ministry.
