She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer S. Poffenbaugh and Nina Mae Poffenbaugh (DeWalt); her husband Sherman Gibson; and her siblings, Ralph Poffenbaugh, Floyd "Bud" Poffenbaugh, Donna Gekler and Dorothy Frederick.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Gibson (Kim) of Crestline and Victoria Mae Vargas (Demetrio) of Arlington, TX; her grandchildren, Lisa Gibson, Lindsay Mills (Cory), Brenda Duran (Ernie) and Victor Vargas (Zyzzyll); her great grandchildren, Izaak Sanchez, Emma Vargas and Lily Mills; her brothers, Stanley Poffenbaugh (Lelia) of Crestline and James Poffenbaugh of Crestline; and her sister-in-law Norma Poffenbaugh.
