He was predeceased by: his father Boyd; his children-in-law, Ronita Shepherd and Silas Williams; and his siblings, Grady Shepherd and Patty Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his children, Robert Shepherd (Rosa) of Willard, Anthony Shepherd of Fort Wayne, IN, Tamara Kelley (Eric) of Mansfield, Charles Shepherd (Ruthie) of Shelby, Sarah McKinney (Nathan) of Ashland and Matthew Shepherd (Xochitl) of Mansfield; his siblings, Ralph Shepherd (Ginny) of Mansfield, Garth Shepherd (Rosemary) of Washington, DC, Richard Shepherd of Shelby, Betty Bowman of Michigan, Marietta Baker (Darrell) of Shelby, Marvin Shepherd (Barbara) of Shelby, Wanda Adams of Defiance and Faye Fried (Mike) of Shelby; and also, Shirley, Kimberly Williams (Brad Baker) of Mansfield, Steven Wallace (Monica) of Mansfield, Kelly Lane of Georgia and Dorothy Carver of Willard. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
