He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Marek and Levina Marek (Rankin); his siblings, Dorothy Denny (Lyle), Frances Hamilton (Charles) and Robert Marek; and his brother-in-law Wayne Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Burkhart; his sons, Stephen Marek (Connie) of Crestline, Scott Marek (Betty) of Columbus and David Marek (Dorie) of Dayton; his grandchildren, Rebecca McPhee (Jonathan) of Scotland, Jennifer Marek, Christopher Marek, Samuel Marek and Nicholas Marek; his great grandchild Daniel Finn Marek-McPhee; his sister Barbara Wells of Saranac, MI.; and his sister-in-law Lynn Marek.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crestline.
