He was predeceased by: his daughter Doris Schmidt; his grandson John Schmidt; and his siblings, Melvin, Ray, Val, Shorty Schmidt, Rachel Schmidt, Edwina Chappie, Aggie Heintz and Irene Stephanson.
He is survived by: his children, Richard (Mary) of Sidney, Robert (Christine) of Piqua, Alice Chappie of Piqua, Sharon Grube (Larry) of Piqua, Sandra Stine (Randy) of Piqua and Connie Sheldon of Centerville; his sister Margaret Luthman of Anna; and his father James Duell. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; & 36 great-grandchildren.
