He was predeceased by: his father James H. Asbury; and his wife Karolyn. He is survived by: his children, Andrew Asbury (Amanda) of Troy, Aaron Asbury (Hanah) of Piqua, Angie Stearns (Steve) of Napoleon and Heather Lester (Calvin) of Indianapolis; and his brother Douglas Asbury (Becky) of Port Clinton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
