He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Louise Gertrude Hardesty; his daughter Patricia Hardesty; and his parents, Joseph W. Hardesty and Edith Alice Hardesty (Hostettler). He is survived by: his niece Catherine Butler (Stephen); his great-niece Joan Hardesty; his great-nephew Joseph R. Hardesty (Tami); his sister Edith Jeannette Fording; and his sister-in-law Jacquelyn Miller. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
