He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Slaughter (Smalley); his son Jamie Slaughter (Angie); his grandchildren, Kimberly Slaughter (Dakota Daughtery), Mackenzie Slaughter (William Maple IV), Joshua Slaughter (Haley Thompson) and Logan Slaughter; his great grandchild Kinnan; his close friend Gary McNichols (Sue); and his siblings, David "Tiny" Slaughter and Ruth Flowers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
