He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Mastin Hayes and Nettie V. Hayes (Moody); his former wife Olive Ruth Hayes (Art); his daughters, Darlene Kay Hayes, Patricia Ann Kennedy and Kathryn Jean Bayer; his grandson Jay Phillips; and his siblings, Florence Edith Easterday (Hayes), Leota Viola Postel (Hayes), Lois Mary Patterson (Hayes), Mabel Virginia Pollock (Hayes), Lena Hamersley (Hayes), Preston John Hayes, Fred Austin Hayes, Jack Millard Hayes, Claude Robert Hayes and Howard Mastin Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Crowe; his daughter Susan Hayes; his grandchildren, Tim Kennedy (Kaitlyn), Kate Kennedy (Matt), Andrea Phillips (Matt), Lauren Phillips (Moe) and Sean Hayes (Laura); his great grandchildren, Nathan, Owen and Caroline; his grandchildren, Bridget, Eleanor, Sterling, Jude, Evan, Kira, Aden, Lila, Rose, Maisie and Finley; and his stepsons, Dennis Crowe (Vicki), Donald Crowe, Douglas Crowe and Darren Crowe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
