She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Garrett and Lorie Joanne Garrett (Cooper); and her grandparents, Betty Garrett, Melvin and Doris Cooper.

She is survived by: her son Ty Allen Lord Garrett; her sister Elizabeth Garrett (Joseph Wheeler Jr.); her half-sister Genevieve Kanavy; her niece Aviana Wheeler; her aunt Viola Cooper (Randy Medley); and her uncles, Gary, Carroll (Martha) and Herbert Cooper (Waveline).
