She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Sharples and Fred Sharples; her husband Warren Lapp; her great grandchildren, Addy and Grady Snyder; and her sister Alice Moore.
She is survived by: her children, David (Alana) of Coshocton, Sharon Wachtel (Fred) of Coshocton, Linda Meyer (Eric) of St. Louis, MO and Carol of Coshocton; her grandchildren, Michelle Lapp of Johnstown, Jennifer Massie (Jason) of Coshocton, Doug Wachtel of Cleveland, Stephanie Snyder (Pat) of Warsaw and Major Steven Wachtel; her great grandchildren, Luke, Layton, Laramie Massie, Archie and Penny Snyder; and her siblings, Mary Reese, Russell and Robert Sharples.
In lieu of flowers, Dorothy requested donations be made to the SnyderStrong Scholarship Fund, in care of the Coshocton Foundation, PO Box 55, Coshocton, OH 43812.
