He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thorpe and Dorothy Thorpe Sr. (Zaehringer); his son Mike Thorpe; his grandson Tyler S. Thorpe; and his brothers, Bob, Jerry and Geroge Thorpe Jr..
He is survived by: his children, John Thorpe of Topeka, KS, Jeffery S. Thorpe of Coshocton, Beth Wells (Greg) of Richfield, OH and Chad Thorpe of Adamsville, OH; his sister Lois Thompkins of Norristown, PA; and his grandchildren, Cody Thorpe, Tucker Thorpe (Riley), Mandi Wells, Carri Wells, Devin Thorpe, Shane Grant (Shannon), Shawn Grant, Keagan, Cannon, Tanzie and Cona Thorpe. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home (639 Main St, Coshocton, OH 43812). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
