It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William L. Reed in Cortland, Ohio, born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid William farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen E. Reed and Helen V. Reed (Palmer); his wife Jane B. Smith; his son Steven L. Reed; and his brothers, Gilbert, Paul, Mervin and Carl Reed.

He is survived by: his children, Laurie A. Newman (Dennis) of Payson, AZ and G. Douglas Reed (Lori) of Johnston, OH; his sisters, Helen Hazlett of Johnston, OH and Delores Burkett of Markton, PA; and his daughter-in-law Melanie Reed of Spartensburg, PA.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
