He is survived by: his parents, Frank Bruner and Gladys Brennamen Bruner; his wife Mary Ellen McIlwain; his children, Christopher Bruner (Diana) of Boardman, Randolph Bruner of Cortland, Edys Dyer (Dennis) of Berlin Center and Marsha Powell (Stephen) of Madison; and his brother David Bruner (Darlene) of New Castle. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
