He is survived by: his wife Shirley Emch; his children, Alexandria Crenshaw (Gerald), Deidre Abbitt (Tom) and John Joshua (Sarah Gillam); his grandchildren, Chance Abbitt, Tomea Abbitt, Pierce Abbitt, Bryson Caparanis and Ashdon Caparanis; and his siblings, James Caparanis, Robert Caparanis (Linda Cater) and Laraine DeCristofaro (Raymond). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
