It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Sallaz (Cortland, Ohio), born in Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away on February 15, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Sallaz and Dixie Maddux Sallaz; his brother-in-law Alberto Chalas; and his parents-in-law, Donald and Dorothy Meenachan.
He is survived by: his wife Gail E. Meenachan; his children, Dr. Jeffrey Sallaz (Noelle) of Tucson and Julie Kurtz (Steve) of Cortland; his stepchildren, Jay Tomasic (Kelly) of Berlin Center, Paul Tomasic of Berlin Center and Tiffany Kramer (Peter) of Girard; his sisters, Sue Zucco (Ken) of Warren, Ruth Frye (Ron) of Cortland, Gail Trina (Sam) of Howland, Brenda Wilson (Joe) of Cortland and Karen Chalas of Vienna; and his grandchildren, Theodore Sallaz, Ryan, Mallory Kurtz, Joshua, Alex, Anna Kramer, Zachary, Logan, Olivia and Ava Tomasic.
