With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen L. Lamphear Brainard (Cortland, Ohio), who passed away on June 28, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aldrich E. Kagy and Isabel R. Kagy (Probert); her spouse Francis A. Lamphear, Jr.; her former husband Wade Brainard; and her siblings, Harriet Zerovich and Raymond Kagy.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Ulrich (William), David Lamphear (DiAnna) and Paul Lamphear; her grandchildren, Dayna N. Lamphear (Jon Houston), Erica Ulrich (Tod Bacha), Nicholas Lamphear (Anna), Tracie Ulrich (Cory Woodford), Kyle Lamphear (Sandralene Kirchens), Valerie and Jennifer Wood; her great grandchildren, Adam, Hadley and Silas; and her brothers, Harold Kagy (Leona) and Walter Kagy (Brenda). She is also survived by 3 step daughters and many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to either Cortland United Methodist Church or Armstrong Memory Care Activity Fund.
