He was predeceased by: his son Paul Jeffrey Alfman; his grandsons, Jason Micheal and Joseph Allen Kranyik; and his siblings, Ruby Alfman, Annabelle Long, Margret Dodson, Edna West, Ruth Marshall, Ralph, Charles, Fred and Johnny.

He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Alfman (Randy), Kranyik Alfman, Laura Alfman (Jim), Sweeney Alfman and Marsha Alfman; his grandchildren, Carrie Pride (Rusty), Randy Kranyik, Brandy Sweeney Evrard (James), Joey Sweeney, Jordan Sweeney, Colton Lafollette and Shannon Lafollette; his great grandchildren, Connor, Chase, Mason, Hewson, Gunner, Ryliegh and Mya; his brother David (Barb) of Corning; his brother-in-law Dave McCloy of New Lexington; and his spouse Betty Alfman (McCloy).

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations to be made to The Pickering House in Paul's name.
