With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Byron Thompson (Convoy, Ohio), born in Van Wert, Ohio, who passed away on September 8, 2019 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard "Bill" and Wilma Black (Fensler); and his siblings, Dr. Earl Black, Mildred Delong, Virginia Dawson, Jean Feasby, Margie Taylor and Marlin Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Doug Thompson (Kim), Amanda Tice (Mark), Hayley Neumeier (Mathew) and Vanessa Menke (Zach Smith); his grandchildren, Chase, Dustiny, Makenna, Zachary, Ryleigh, Colten, Maverick, Braxton, Kian, Jake, Natalie, Luke, Conner and Saige; his parents-in-law, Harold and Patricia Boyd; and his sister Eunice Cook.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to his family to continue Byron's conservationist efforts or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
