He was predeceased by: his spouse Retta Perry. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Slattman (Tammy Keeran) of Defiance, Ronald "Chip" Slattman (Becky) of Continental and Sue Runyan (Todd) of Melrose; and his sister Sally Heidenescher (Bob) of Dupont. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
