He was predeceased by: his parents, George Melia and Alta Melia (Weller); and his siblings, Don, Floyd Melia, Wanetta and Annabelle.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Melia of Defiance, Mike Melia of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kris Tipton (Pat) of Defiance, Cary Melia of Holgate, OH and Cory Melia of Napoleon, OH; and his brother Butch Melia of Charloe, OH.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Area Hospice Center, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
