He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Kay Sommers; his children, Brenda Troyer (Kenny) of Continental, Doug Elkins (D'Arcy) of Continental, Brenette Barnhart (Dan) of Kalida, Donavin Elkins (Katelyn) of Leipsic and Derrick Elkins (Amy) of Defiance; his grandchildren, Ryan Troyer (Kacie), Hannah Cicalese (Brandon), Dillon Elkins, Clara Elkins (Brayden Recker), Mackenzie Barnhart, Mallorie Barnhart, Landon Elkins, Gavin Elkins and Camden Elkins; his great grandchild Everleigh Troyer; and his siblings, Paul Elkins of Lima, Larry Elkins of Continental, Gary Elkins of Cecil, Ila Combs (Craig) of Continental, Doyle Elkins of Kalida, Lovella Wehri (Thomas) of Continental, Joyce Cavanaugh (Steve) of Defiance, Shanda Tonjes (Dave) of Defiance and Nancy Schnipke (Greg) of Miller City.
