He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Howard and Jessie Mae Howard (Colllins); his former spouse Jessie Mae Combs; his siblings, Albert Howard (Beaulah), Truman Howard (Helen), Edward Howard, Darce Howard, Douglas Collins (Florence), Jewell Dennison (Roswell), Darlene Booth (Frank), Geneva Dennison (Roswell) and Lynda Worline (Kenneth); and his brothers-in-law, Joe Desota and Leo Hacker.
He is survived by: his spouse Versa Sargent; his sons, Gregory Howard (Penny) of Charleston, SC and Stephen Leroy Howard (Cana) of Adrian, MI; his stepchildren, Larry McGlothin (Melissa) and Heather Rumfelt (Chris); and his siblings, Donna Desota, Lola Hacker, Brenda Kay Howard and Jerry Howard (Darlene). He is also survived by four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or North Mount Zion Church, Continental.
