He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Smallwood and Janice Smallwood (Heizer); and his siblings, Ronnie Smallwood and Rhonda Bergman. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth M. "Beth" Smallwood (Massie); his son Samuel Roger "Sam" Smallwood; and his brother Rexel "Rex" Smallwood (Beth). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
