She was predeceased by: her parents, George Whitney and Drusilla "Dru" Bartone (Swanson); her stepfather Emil Bartone; and her brother-in-law Scott Fasick. She is survived by: her sisters, Martha Fasick, Margaret Carey (Timothy) and Barbara McMellen (Jay); her nephews, Jason Fasick, David Fasick (Megan), Charles Carey, Joseph Carey (Amy) and Christopher McMellen (Ashley); her niece Katelyn Powers (Taylor); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Savanah, Grayson Fasick, Jack, Harper Carey, Kora, Graham Powers, George, Annabelle and Benjamin McMellen; her cousins, Lisa Purnell (Nigel) and Betsy Ahola; her close friends, Scott, Suzie, Margie, Ken, Karen, George, Sandy and Tanis; and her pet Allie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Marcy Funeral Home (208 Liberty St, Conneaut, OH 44030). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
Contributions may be made in Sarah's memory to the Conneaut Water Department to continue her work in helping others or to Blessings in a Backpack, a group that provides food each week for students in need.
