He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Hicks and Etta Hicks (Messenger); his wife Delores Hicks (Humphrey); his son Richard Armstrong; and his siblings, MaryAnn Buckner, Marleen Daggett and Kenneth A. Hicks.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Hicks (Darla) of Pierpont and Renee Renshaw of Conneaut; his grandchildren, Scott Smith, BJ Riggs, Michael Armstrong, Christian Armstrong and Steven Armstrong; and his siblings, Kay Loosie Parnell of Simko, Ontario, Ronald Hicks (Dede) of Conneaut and Michael Hicks (Sue) of Conneaut. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
