He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Mathay and Mary Clara Mathay (Siple); and his granddaughter Lillian Vinciquerra. He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Mathay (Matthy) of Conneaut, Ohio; his children, Elizabeth Vinciquerra (Anthony) of Rexford, Sarah Zurbuchen (Matthew) of Vancouver, British Columbia and Andrew Mathay (Lydia Munnell) of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; his sister Mary Frances Mathay of Charlotte; and his grandsons, Jonas, Luca Vinciquerra, Remy, Loic Zurbuchen and Asa Mathay.
