He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Raftery and Lucille Raftery; and his daughter Becky. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Mike Compton, Christy Mayo, James Krepp and Bobby Krepp (Shelly); his grandchildren, Cohen, Danny, David, Hailey and Kailey; and his brother Carl Raftery (Wendy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
