He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Whitley and Mae Whitley; his wife June Whitley; his brother Clayton Whitley; his grandsons, Nick Crawford and Joshua Whitley; and his great grandchild Shane Crawford.

He is survived by: his children, Terri Crawford and Gary Whitley; his grandchildren, Chaz Whitley, Hunter Crawford (Summer), Kasey Crawford, Chase Whitley, Tosha Hutter, Samantha Swank and Gary Kelly; his sister Ann Cregger; and his sister-in-law Yvonne Whitley. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
