He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Hagwood and Janie Hagwood; his brothers, James, Willie Eugene, Harry, Levi, Jackie, David and Johnie Hagwood; his grandson Matthew Keyes; and his cousin Johnnie Joyce.

He is survived by: his siblings, Louise Hagwood, Mary Hall, Thomas and Robert Hagwood (Earline); and his children, Javon Brown (Javonna), Aretha Nevarez, Jeness Collins (Jonathan), Janee Munmerlyn and Brian Hall (Christy).
