He was predeceased by: his parents, Seth E. Smith and Mary Elizabeth Smith; his daughter Narcella "Nicee" Perry; and his siblings, Wilamont, Seth Jr., Raymond, Forrest, Roger, Carl, Gwinn, Ronald Smith, Violet, Ardelia, Betty Jean, Winifred, Hulda and Janet.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Smith; his daughters, Rochelle Smith and Carmela Miller; and his siblings, Shirley Washington, Marcia Coleman-Walker (Keith Walker), Stephen Bernard Smith, Darlene Boyd (Doug Boyd) and Stephanie Christian. He is also survived by other relatives and close friends.
