He was predeceased by: his mother Laura Speaks (DeAscentis); and his stepmother Helen Speaks (McCullough). He is survived by: his father Albert H. Speaks; his sons, Michael J. Speaks and Brandon T. Speaks; and his brothers, Jeffrey L. Speaks and Gregory A. Speaks.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home (1177 W 5th Ave, Columbus, OH 43212). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
