She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas McNeil and Viola McNeil; her siblings, Melvin, Henry, Edgar, Rebecca, Roberta, Betty, Annie Jane, Bessy, Ivey and Thomas; her husband Elmer Calamese; and her son Onzilee McNeil.

She is survived by : her children, Joyce, Cynthia Brown (Brooklyn) and Charles. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and15 great-great grandchildren.
